Multi-Use Trails

What makes a trail multi-use? Multi-use trails are designed and built to accommodate different trail user groups at the same time. We feel that with a careful design and thoughtful construction hikers, bikers, and equestrian trail users can have a positive experience on the same trail. Long sight lines, slightly wider tread, careful signage, utilizing lower percentage gradient are all components that we take into consideration. In addition, educational signage and information at trailheads and parking areas can help trail users understand that they are sharing their trail experience.
